Waking up to his one-night stand trying to flee the scene, Reid sits back to enjoy the show. This blond boy is all snark and quick-wit, but there’s an awkward side to him that intrigues Reid enough to want to con him into a second date. After numerous failed attempts, Atticus reluctantly agrees to an on-the-spot date, and things get quirky from there.

A philosophy major and a wayward son, these two work through their differences, battling red flags and a slew of Tuesdays that have them bonding in ways they never saw coming. There is no normal way to date Atticus, and Reid soon learns that this ‘romance lover’ has no idea what romance is, but he’s willing to put in the work.

Reid is taking back his life. Atticus is taking back Tuesdays.

Together, they’re a brilliant disaster.

Excuse me while I try to process everything about this book, which I started reading this morning and finished in the early afternoon. I could not put it down once I started reading. It was so good.

What I love the most about Nordika Night’s books, is that they’re so raw. She doesn’t hold back when it comes to her lost boys, the underdogs, the broken souls, we get to see and feel their pain and how they respond to it while figuring out life and love.

And these guys… Atticus and Reid. They were raw and complicated, toxic but somehow totally right for each other.

Their first meeting is a random hookup, on a Tuesday, and Reid is instantly hooked, bordering on the line to obsessed. Atticus refuses to see Reid again, and leaves Reid with no last name nor phone number, after pointing out why they’d be bad for each other.

Reid isn’t the type to give up, he usually gets what he wants. He comes from money and his dad owns a very successful, and a bit shady, business, one that Reid is expected to take over when he’s done with his business degree. He has a strained relationship with his dad, and his relationship with his mom is.. well it’s hard to explain, but it’s super sad.

But anyways, he has his eyes set on Atticus (I really love that name), and he finally convinces him to go on a date, on a Tuesday. Everything gets a bit chaotic from there, while they’re trying to figure each other out. It may seem a bit one sided, Reid trying to romance Atticus, and Atticus not really giving much in return. But Atticus did warn Reid about his toxic traits, but it doesn’t scare Reid away, and slowly but surely he finds out that Atticus has his own love language.

Most of the story is through Reid’s POV, but the epilogue is from Atticus’ POV. I will admit that I almost cried a few times, especially with what happened with Atticus while he lived with his parents, and then again, when my heart broke for Reid when he finally gets the truth from his dad, and the fact that his childhood and relationship to his parents wasn’t what it seemed to be. Also the epilogue totally made weep.

Another 5⭐ read from Nordika Night.
